Why is my card not working on google pay

Hi, I’m opening a new store in London this summer and would like to use Google Pay instead of cash. Can you help?

I’ll leave the benefit to my card’s benefits section; it doesn’t have space.

What do you think? Is this joke worthy? *Insert an appropriate amount of sarcasm.*

To use Google Pay, you must have Android 4.0 or later and a supported phone number.

If you’re experiencing problems, contact your bank to see if they offer a feature that allows you to pay from your card.

If this doesn’t work, try using another form of payment. For example, suppose it’s an American Express card, and it still needs to be fixed after trying different payment methods and contacting Google Pay support. In that case, something is wrong with the card or its security settings.

(The irony is that to be polite, I’ve doomed myself to take extra steps to resolve the problem.)

So: my card works at Dillard’s but not on Google Pay. Where do I go from here?

If you have a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card and you’re using Android 5.0+ with a Google Pay app installed, then you can pay by simply tapping your supported card on the phone’s display at checkout. If you don’t have one of those cards, you have a few options (which vary by store): 1) Use cash. If your store accepts cash, bring some money with you. 2) Keep trying. The first time the store rejects your card, they’ll ask if it’s okay to continue trying. Try again until it works (or call customer service ). 3) Call customer service. This is the option that I ended up pursuing when I called Belk Customer Service late last week (I’m still waiting for their reply). Try calling Belk first before following my step-by-step instructions below… Here are the steps we observed during our call: “Hi, this is Ashley Covington with Belk Credit Card.” “My name is Rachel Stanton, and I’m calling regarding the Google Pay compatibility issue.” “On what phone model are you?” “The Samsung S6 Edge.” She checked her notes and answered: “Okay, so let me make sure if there was something, in particular, that was blocking your ability to use Google Payโ€ฆ.” We asked whether we could pay for merchandise through an existing credit card. She told us we couldn’t โ€“ she had no choice but to tell us this because we were using an unsupported phone model on an activated account. We asked about paying via our debit cards stored in our Wallet. Again she said
